I was so excited to receive the photos of the latest collection from Arabesque Sheilas and Abayas.
The Fall/Winter 2011 collection was launched this week, a collection described by Arabesque founder and designer Judith Duriez, who hails from France, as "modern, feminine and edgy, infused with Parisian elegance."
They most certainly are!
The abayas are high in the glam stakes and bang on trend this winter season with their colour palette of burnt orange, dusky pink, coal grey and neutral hues mixed with metallics and jewel colours like royal purple, cobalt blue and rich red.
Judith, innovate as always, has also given us a new abaya shape - the diamond, which many abaya wearers will find exciting to wear.
The abayas incorporate black lace and layered coloured chiffon and are tailored from plisse and techno fabrics from Paris, exclusively made for Arabesque.
All you need are some jewelled cuffs or bracelets, a jewelled statement/bib necklace, cocktail rings and some super fancy heels (glittery heels are especially hot right now) to wear with an abaya from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection, and you have the perfect outfit for the evening. Want to be even more glamorous and sophisticated? Then make like the model and add long black gloves.
