Animal prints are one of those trends that never go out of fashion. Buying a leopard or tiger print dress, pair of shoes, scarf or bag is a definite investment as animal print pieces have become style staples in every woman's autumn/winter wardrobe.

Animal prints were everywhere in autumn/winter 2010/2011 shows; Gucci, Hermes, Dolce and Gabbana, Mulberry, Cavalli, Blumarine, Balmain, Dries Van Noten, Oscar de la Renta and Moschino, just to name a few!
And what is even more striking is designers' move away from sticking just to leopard and tiger prints...zebra, giraffe and calf prints also made their debuts in an assortment of colours.
While animal print is a fun and bold trend which unleashes your fierce (and even racy) side, it is also a tricky one-there is a fine border between being tasteful and, to put it quite frankly, tarty.
Let's take a look at these celebs and their animal print failures and successes:

Animal Print Dos and Don'ts
Do team animal print pieces with blacks, browns and nudes.
Don't wear animal print head-to-toe.
Do wear your animal print top or dress with a faithful pair of dark wash skinny jeans.
Don't go OTT with the makeup otherwise you'll risk looking like someone from Jersey Shore...Do a simple smokey eye and natural lips.
If wearing animal print clothes is not your thing, do try an animal print bag, or an animal print scarf, or a pair of animal print shoes.
Don't just stick to leopard and tiger prints...do try zebra, giraffe and calf prints for a change.
Do wear your animal print top in sheer fabrics like silk and chiffon, teamed with a skirt or trousers in a luxe fabrics.
My Picks
(Remember not to wear any of this head to toe!)
